When a user would try to add a printer from the server they would get an access denied error on multiple different drivers, but the user next to them wouldnt get this error.
I had a similiar issue on my print server. I've set the following group policies with regards to driver installation.Ĭomputer Configuration/Policies/Administrative Templates/SystemDriver Installation/Allow non-administrators to install drivers for these device setup classes: Enabled, 4d36e979-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318 I've added the latest drivers (both x86 and 圆4) to the print server. I am unable to determine why the print drivers aren't installed automatically from the print server. This can be replicated by uninstalling the printer driver and repeating the process. If I manually add one of the missing printers, then uninstall it, then restart the client to update gpo, the previously missing printer now shows up correctly. It seems to be an issue with driver installation for the missing printers. gpresults shows that all the policies were applied without issue.
Some of them show up correctly on client computers, some are missing entirely. I've got several network printers setup to deploy via GPP.
